Jennie Jancasz

Passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. She was born July 29, 1918, the daughter of Stanley and Mary (Matecki) Dzialowski. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband George Cain in 1945. Jennie remarried on January 9, 1948 to Joseph Jancasz and the two spent the next 57 years together before his passing in 2005. Also preceding in death are her brother, Henry Dzialowski; grandson Michael Cain; and two sons-in-law, James Onderlinde and James Eccles. Jennie is survived by her children, SueAnne Eccles, David (Irene) Cain, Robert (Lynette) Jancasz, Stephen Jancasz, and Mary Beth (John) Walker; her sisters Stella Dzialowski and Irene Smiertka; 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday, October 15 from 5-8 pm at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo MI 49008,with a scripture service at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 16 at 10:30 am at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. David Grondz, celebrant. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
