Eugenia Eister

Eugenia Eister of Middleville, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Lifespan Hospice in Battle Creek. Eugenia was born January 8, 1944 in Grand Rapids to Harry and Mildred Farougi. Eugenia was united in marriage to Leonard Eister on June 26, 1965 in Grand Rapids. She taught at Schoolcraft Public Schools for over 20 years and was a member of the Michigan Education Association. In her free time she enjoyed playing golf, cooking for her family, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. Eugenia is survived by her husband Leonard. Also surviving are daughters, Maria (Jeffrey) White and Debbie (Brian) Mann; Grandchildren, Alex, Kerry, Sean, Nick, and Ben; her sister, Nicki Fahselt; and brothers, Peter and Chris Farougi. Friends and family will be received on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008, (269) 343-6156, where there will be a service on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:30 am.
