Bernard L. Sullivan of Kalamazoo, passed away Tuesday June 17, 2014 at Kairos Dwelling. Barney was born December 4, 1924 in Grand Rapids the son of Frank and Esther (Cryan) Sullivan. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII & Korea. Barney retired as a firefighter from the City of Kalamazoo; he was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1527, International Assoc. of Firefighters, and Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree at St. Monica Church. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Josephine (Iciek) Sullivan of Kalamazoo; 2 daughters, Kathleen (Peter) Renzema of Cooper Twp., Lorraine (Kenneth) Jancarz of Vicksburg; 4 grandchildren, Carolyn (Justin) Ridderman, Sarah (Mike) Symko, Angela (Richard) Ragainis, Bridget Jancarz; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Monica Johnston of Dorr; 3 sisters-in-law; several nieces & nephews. Friends are being received Friday 4-8 pm with a Rosary at 7pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008, (269) 343-6156. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 10:30 am at St. Monica Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Lawrence Farrell, Celebrant. Interment will be in Ft.
