Miles Stanley McMartin

Miles S. McMartin of Robbinsdale, MN died peacefully at his home on June 10, 2014. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Renee and four brothers. Son of John and Hilda (Peterson) McMartin, Miles was born on October 31, 1922 in Escanaba, MI. He proudly served his country during WWII flying missions in Europe. It was in France where he met and married the love of his life in 1946. He was an avid sports fan never giving up the hope that the Cubs would win a World Series. Miles retired from the Upjohn Company in 1989 and moved to Minnesota in 2000. He is survived by his daughter Jackie, son-in-law Nate, brother Donald, and many nieces and nephews. Friends are being received Friday June 13, 2014 from 5-7 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008, (269) 343-6156, where services will be held Saturday at 10 am, with Rev. Jim Dyke, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
