Ivars M. Budenieks

Ivars M. Budenieks of Three Rivers, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at home. Ivars was born April 29, 1935 in Kulidiga, Latvia the son of Hermenann and Margareta (Tongis) Budenieks. He retired as a service manager for Simplex Time Recording Co. On Oct. 15, 1955 in Chicago, IL Ivars was united in marriage to the former Karin Hansen, who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Margaret (William) Koepke of Dearborn, Susan (Dennis) Perry of White Lake; 6 grandchildren, Christopher (Dawn) Koepke, Matthew Koepke, Ian Perry, Ryan Perry, Loren Perry, Caitlin Perry; 1 great-grandson, Xander Koepke; 2 brothers, Edvins (Lita) Budenieks, Juris (Sharon) Budenieks of Three Rivers. He was preceded in death by a son, Ernest Budenieks in 2013. Friends will be received 10 am to 8 pm Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008, (269) 343-6156, where services will be held 10 am Friday with Rev. Robert Franklin, officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Hills Memorial Garden, Novi.
