Karen S. Dean of Kalamazoo passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at Borgess Medical Center. Karen was born March 29, 1951 to Jay & Elaine (Parker) Parks in Kalamazoo. Before retiring Karen was a clothing manager for Wal-Mart in Kalamazoo. In 1971 in Kalamazoo, Karen was united in marriage to Allen F. Dean who survives. Also surviving are her mother, Elaine Loosier; 2 sons, Michael (Katherine) Dean of Kalamazoo, Matthew (Robin) Dean of Kalamazoo; daughter, Kimberly (Chris) Bowers of Kalamazoo; sister, Judy (Lee) Stillwell of Richland; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson. Karen was preceded in death by her brothers Rick and Dale Parks. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, 2300 East “G” Ave. Parchment, MI 49004 (269) 349-7795.
