William Joseph Manifold

William J. Manifold of Kalamazoo passed away Thursday April 10, 2014 at Clarebridge of Portage. William was born May 31, 1928 in Kalamazoo the son of William and Marie (Swartz) Manifold. He was retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Co., William was a founding member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church, and he was an avid golfer and bowler. On October 30, 1948 in Kalamazoo William was united in marriage to the former Pauline Kirby who preceded him in death. Surviving are 3 sons, W. Joseph (Jane) Manifold of Mt. Pleasant, David Manifold of Kimberly, WI, James (Susan) Manifold of Richland; 3 daughters, Barbara (Harry) Minniear of Portage, Elizabeth (Timothy) McGrath of Walled Lake, Paula Zang of Grand Rapids; sister, Marilyn Frazier of Kalamazoo; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Sandra Manifold in 2013. Friends are being received Sunday 6-8 pm with a rosary at 7:30 at the Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008 (269) 343-6156. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday 11 am at St. Monica’s Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. Larry Farrell, Celebrant.
