Patrick H Osborn

Patrick H. Osborn of Kalamazoo, Age 98, passed away on Sunday March 23, 2014 at the Upjohn Community Care Center.He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on August 20, 1915 the eldest of eight children to Omar and Gertrude Osborn.Patrick graduated from St. Phillips High School in 1933 and went to hold various accounting/bookkeeping and sales positions throughout his life. Besides his love for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Patrick was a lover of the game of golf. He never hit a golf ball straight or far but, he continued to pursue the dream of that elusive hole-in-one.He was preceded in death by his wives, Margery R. and Ruby S. and all of his siblings.Surviving are three sons, Thomas P. (Kathryn) of Savannah, GA, Timothy M. (Christine) of Mattawan and Kevin O. (Elizabeth) of Mattawan; a sister-in-law, Barbara Osborn of Battle Creek; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephewsFriends may call Wednesday March 26, 2014 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM (Rosary at 7 PM) at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 South Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49008.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Thursday, March 27, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake St., Kalamazoo, MI. Internment will occur at a later date.In Leu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of Southwest Michigan or Heritage Community of Kalamazoo.The family wishes to thank the staff at Upjohn Community Care Center for the exceptional care given.
