Majel Joyce Youdell

Majel Joyce Youdell, 68 of Kalamazoo, passed away Thursday March 6, 2014 in Kalamazoo. Majel was born October 9, 1945 in Allegan County, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Jones) Lamb. She graduated from South Haven High School and received a degree in organ and music performance, she was a member of the Second Reformed Church. Majel was united in marriage to James O. Youdell on August 18, 1989 in Kalamazoo, he preceded her in death on May 29, 2007. Surviving are a daughter, Lisa (David) Lilly of Independence, MO; 2 grandchildren; 6 sisters, Jacquelin Parrott of Portage, Judith VanNess of Rochester, NY, Eleonora (Norman) Cox of Columbia, SC, Laura Lamb of St. Paul, MN, Esther (George) Ford of Lake, MI, Sarah Chambers of Portland, OR; sister-in-law, Barbara Spiegelmeier of Kalamazoo; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Lamb in 2013. Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday March 13, 2014 at the Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park Chapel, with Rev. Don DeYoung, Officiating.
