Frances Anna Overmyer

Frances A. Overmyer of Portage, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at home. She was born March 7, 1924 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Clarence and Onita (Hoffa) Slack. On September 30, 1942 in Angola, IN, Frances was united in marriage to Robert Overmyer, Sr. who preceded her in death on January 23, 2011. Surviving are a son, Robert (Cindy) Overmyer of Jamestown, OH; daughter, Gayle (James) Booth of Cary, IL; 10 grandchidlren, John, Jeff, Tammy, Tim, Heather, Ryan, Karl, Kristin, Kolleen, Rob; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 great-greatgrandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Beauregard of Kalamazoo. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Rinehart in 1990; 4 brothers, Donald, John, Clarence, James; 2 sisters, Myrtle Slack and Betty Sperry. Friends are being received Friday from 4-7 pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008 (269) 343-6156, where services will be held Saturday at 10:30 am.
