Sandra Kay Weiss

Sandra K. Weiss of Portage, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Rose Arbor Hospice. Sandra was born May 14, 1957 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Kyle and Chloie (Town) Melson. Sandra worked for many years as a line coordinator for Pfizer. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and doing other crafts. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers. On July 4, 1986 in Portage, Sandra was united in marriage to Roy Weiss, who survives. Also surviving are 4 sons, Mike Melson of Tucson, AZ, Kim (Jennifer) Kirkens of Paw Paw, Travis (Kristine) Weiss of Portage, Jason Weiss of Portage; 4 grandchildren; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; 2 sister-in-laws, Yvonne (Scott) Johnson and Ruth Ann (John) Hughes. Friends are being received Thursday 12-1pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008 (269) 343-6156, where services will be held Thursday at 1pm.
