Susan Ann Sweet

Susan A. Sweet of Galesburg, passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at home. Susan was born June 30, 1940 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of James and Veronica Cairns. She was an administrative assistant for the Upjohn Co. and for Beach Products before her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband William Sweet, and son-in-law, Ray Morgan . Surviving are a daughter, Debra L. DeHorn of Blacklick, OH; Beloved companion, Fred Phillips of Galesburg; 2 step-daughters, Kathy Morgan and Jean Sweet both of Kalamazoo; brother, Glenn (Alvera) Cairns of Lansing; sister-in-law, Sharon (Jerry) Payne of Three Rivers; 5 grandchildren, Michelle, Elizabeth, Brittany, Raymon & Chris; numerous great-grandchildren; 4 nephews; 1 niece. Friends are being received Tuesday 12 - 2pm at the Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008, 269-343-6156. Where services will be held at 2pm with Chaplain Kevin Brintnall, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
