Wilfred Joe Buckhout, age 96 of Three Rivers passed away on December 31, 2013 at Heartland Nursing Home. Joe was born on Nov. 15, 1917 the oldest son of Milo Buckhout and Ottie (Wisher) Conklin in Oshtemo. A lifetime resident he graduated from State High School and served his country honorably in the US Army Air Forces during WWII. Joe worked as a truck driver for Graff Trucking and Sheppard Products. Joe and Janette retired and moved to Klines Resort where Joe worked many years for the Kline Family. Joe's most recent trip to Washington, DC with the Talons Out Honor flight to see the WWII memorial was a memorable experience. Joe was united in marriage to Jeanette Thompson on June 3, 1939 in Kalamazoo. Surviving is his wife Jeanette of 74 years; daughter, Judith Buckhout of Three Rivers; 3 sons, David (Nellie) Buckhout of Three Rivers, James (Marilyn) Buckhout of Richland, and Mark (Charlene) Buckhout of Kalamazoo; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Blanche Wager; 2 brothers, Robert and John (Jack) Buckhout. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Jan. 4, 2013 at 11 AM at the Mt.
