Coleen Ellen Danaher

Coleen Ellen Danaher, 62, passed away on October 14, 2013 after a courageous battle against cervical cancer. She was born on December 26, 1950 to Brian and Joanne Danaher. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in Canton, Ohio and moved to Kalamazoo in 1981. Coleen received an Administrative Assistant Associates Degree from Kalamazoo Valley Community College in December 2011. Coleen was an avid reader, enjoyed playing rummikub and walked daily. Coleen was the family photographer, famous for taking pictures at the family gatherings. She was a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews. Coleen is survived by her brother, Brian F. (Anna) Danaher, of Highland Park, Illinois, her sister, Mary Danaher Cohen of Prospect Heights, Illinois, and sister-in law, Sarah Danaher of Boulder, Colorado; nieces and nephews, Natalie (Kevin) Brown, Neil Danaher, Amy Cohen, Laura Cohen, Patrick Danaher, Matthew Danaher, and Wojciech Nowak. Coleen is preceded in death by her father, Brian W. Danaher, mother, Joanne Mehne Danaher, and brother, John Mehne Danaher. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
