Harold Thomas Dugan of Portage passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Bronson Methodist Hospital after a recent illness, with his wife, Marilyn at his side. Harold was born April 12, 1924, in Holland Michigan, the son of Frank and Mabel (Collins) Dugan. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Bell. Harold retired as a cutting pressman from Georgia Pacific (James River) paper Co. He was a member of the Centre Avenue Church of God and the Portage/Schoolcraft Eagles #3531. Harold loved his family, bowling, golf, and the Detroit Tigers. On December 4, 2004, in Kalamazoo Harold was united in marriage to Marilyn Greene. Also surviving are a daughter, Carol (John) Brown of Kalamazoo; stepson, T. Alden Miller of Portage, 2 stepdaughters, Lorraine (Robert) Humphrey, Kalamazoo, Linda (Dan) Rynd of Portage; 2 brothers, Jack (Wilma) Dugan of Kalamazoo, William Dugan; sister, Colleen Long of Mt. Pleasant; son-in-law, Daniel Stoddard of Oshtemo; 4 step-grandchildren, Malissa (Tori) Drzick, Hubbard Humphrey, Mallory Humphrey, Robert Stoddard; 2 step great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Yoland, Genny; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 wives, Beverly June and Ann; daughter, Diane Stoddard ; and 2 brothers, Jim and Robert Dugan. Friends are being received Wednesday, 12:30-2:30 PM at the Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008, (269) 343-6156. Funeral and Graveside services will be held Wednesday beginning at 3 PM at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, with Pastor Richard Hertsel, Officiating.
