Frances "Ruth" Hamilton, 92, of Parchment, Michigan, passed away peacefully September 20, 2013. Ruth was born August 31, 1921, in Pavilion Township, MI, the daughter of Francis and Agnes (Fisher) Flach. She was united in marriage of John M. Hamilton on August 9, 1941. Ruth was a long-time resident of Parchment and founding member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. The most important things in Ruth’s life were her religion and her family. Her interests included gardening, sewing, birds and baseball games; and she took the time to teach what she knew, especially to her children. She would always say “yes” no matter how tired she was. Cooking family dinners was a special part of her life. Family and friends have fond memories of her potlucks at Gull Lake. She was a member of the Legion of Mary, & Parchment Extension Club and volunteered at Loaves and Fishes & Borgess Service League. Ruth loved to dance with her husband and both were members of Parchment Dance Club and Burnham Brook. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years on Feb. 1, 2004; 8 siblings; son Timothy; grandchildren Elizabeth & Gregory Meeth; and great-grandson Lance Bennett. Ruth is survived by 3 siblings and children: Lucretia (Phillip) Meeth, Penne (David) Adams, Thomas J. (Pamala) Hamilton, Theresa Knapp, Rita (Charlie) DeLoach; grandchildren, Becky Adams, Aaron & Jason Hamilton, Andy Johnson, Chris Bussema, Breha Patterson, Karissa & Tyler DeLoach, Carlee Rogers, Aubrey, Tara & Fawn Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Roxanne Lawrence, Mackenzie Hamilton, Caylee, Sunshine & Ezra Johnson, Ethan, Marina & Clara Bussema, Caleb & Madelyn Rogers, William Patterson, Layla DeLoach, John Raymond Hill and great-great grandchildren Tarin II and Tryce Lawrence and Jarod Bond and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday 6-8 pm where a rosary will be held at 7:30 at the Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, 2300 East “G” Ave. Parchment, MI 49004 (269) 349-7735. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday 11 AM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. James O’Leary, Celebrant. The family invites those who loved and knew her to join them at the luncheon at St. Ambrose Church Activity Center immediately following the service. Interment will be at Ft.
