Richard Jay Geyer, II

Mr. Richard J. Geyer, II passed away July 26, 2013 at his home. Rick, as he was known by family and friends, was born April 22, 1957 in Flint, MI, the son of Richard J. and Norma E. (Rieger) Geyer. He was a proud Veteran of the US Navy. Rick was a sheet metal welder for the foodservice industry. He was active in the Kalamazoo Sheet Metal Workers Union and the Kalamazoo Moose Lodge. He enjoyed camping and being outdoors with his dog, Duke. Rick is survived by his parents, Richard and Norma Geyer of Rogers City, MI; brother Robert Geyer of Mead, WA, and sisters Martha Kellaway of Flint and Barbara Geyer of Mt. Morris, MI; one niece and four nephews. Friends will be received Monday, August 19, 2013 from 10AM to 12Noon at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge, Kalamazoo 269-343-6156, where funeral services will begin at 12Noon, Rev. Randy Doyle officiating. Interment with full military honors will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
