Mr. Albert J. Bartoletti, age 65, passed away August 7, 2013 at his home. He was born March 30, 1948 in Kalamazoo, the son of Albert E. and Ruth M. (Heslip) Bartoletti. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He was employed with Alro Steel Corporation, retiring in May of this year after 42 years of service. Al was a skilled handyman who could fix anything. He was well-known as a talented builder, home renovator and landscaper. He owned a body shop for repair of Corvettes, which he dearly loved; he owned between 30 and 40 different Corvettes over his lifetime. He also was an avid golfer, enjoying not only the game and the outdoors, but also the close friendships he made during play. He was a die-hard University of Michigan fan, enjoying the give and take with Spartan supporters. Al was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, Andrew Bartoletti (Kali) of Portage, daughters Lisa (Brian) Bartlett of Lansing and Alexis Bartoletti of Paw Paw; four grandsons, Drew and Evan Bartlett and Aiden and Austin Bartoletti; sister Sharon (Jim) Goodknecht of Plainwell; two nieces and one nephew. Friends will be received Monday, August 12 from5-8PM at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, 2300 East G Ave., 269-349-7735, where a memorial service will take place Tuesday, August 13 at 11AM, the Rev.
