Clarence Bowman

May 21, 1939 — July 20, 2013

Clarence "Bud" Bowman of Kalamazoo, passed away Saturday, July 20 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Bud was born May 21, 1939 in Kalamazoo the son of Clarence and Lillian (Downes) Bowman. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. Bud retired as a tool and die maker from General motors. Our dad enjoyed watching soccer and telling funny stories. He had an extensive beer can and stein collection from all over the world and he liked to collect golf balls. He was a talented cartoonist and has many items around the house showing that. He enjoyed gathering with friends at such places as the Eagles Club. He loved riding his moped and loved anything German. He always had $20 to give to his kids and grandkids. On December 1, 1959 in Wiesbaden, Germany Bud was united in marriage to the former Anna E. Jung, who survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters, Lillian (Gary) Stetten, Monika (Jose) Briones, Tina Bowman all of Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren, Jessica, Mellisa, Heather, Haley, Antonio, & Jose; 1 great-grandson, Zackary. Services will be held, Thursday July 25, 2013 at 2PM at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S.
