Dorothy Lucille Blodgett

Dorothy Lucille Blodgett 92 of Battle Creek formerly of Kalamazoo passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at home. Dorothy was born September 17, 1920 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Elias and Mae (Nelson) Smoke. She was a nurse’s aid in several hospitals and nursing homes in the area before her retirement. She was united in marriage to George S. Blodgett who preceded her in death on January 18, 1997. Surviving are a son, Paul Blodgett of Battle Creek; 2 daughters, Lynda Rayan and Retha Dillon both of Battle Creek; 9 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Cliff and Lloyd Blodgett; daughter Sharron Cavanaugh; 7 brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held Wednesday June 19, 2013 at 2PM in the chapel of Mt.
