Stanley Pawlowski

Mr. Stanley Pawlowski passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the VA Community Living Center in Battle Creek. He was born February 2, 1926 in Kalamazoo, the son of Joseph and Mary (Steniswiski) Pawlowski. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army, having served in Europe during World War II. Stan was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where he was in the Ushers Club and was an avid sportsman. He was retired from the James River Corp. after 40 years of service. Stan was preceded in death by his siblings, Anthony, Joseph, Zegmount, Harry, and Mary. On November 8, 1947, Stan married Janet Ferguson, and they shared over 65 years together. Besides Janet, Stan is also survived by their children Stephen (Laurine) Pawlowski of Kalamazoo, Gail (Andrew) Lipsey also of Kalamazoo, Nancy (Jerry) Seaman of Winder, GA, and Paul Pawlowoski of Kalamazoo; three grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday, May 24, 2013 from 9-10AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 939 Charlotte St., Kalamazoo, where Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10AM, Fr. David Grondz, celebrant. Interment with full military honors will follow at 11:30AM at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VA Medical Center, Hospice Care of SW MI, or St. Mary Catholic Church.
