Sam W. Holton of Kalamazoo, passed away May 13, 2013 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. She was born January 17, 1937 in Poplar Bluff, MO the daughter of Virgil and Lena (King) Trimble. Sam retired from Bronson Hospital as a dialysis technician and she enjoyed antiquing. On June 6, 1980 in Kalamazoo Sam was united in marriage to James L. Holton, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Richard (Jamie) White of Portage; stepson, James (Kim) Holton of Sherwood; 3 step-daughters, Patricia (Jim) Holton of Kalamazoo, Paula (Gilbert) Holton of Houston, TX, Theresa (Steve) Holton of Golden, CO; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Taylor of Cape Coral, FL. She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. Services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South West Michigan.
