Marilyn M. Cardiff died March 23, 2013 at Bronson Hospital after a brief illness. Marilyn was born June 5, 1928 in Coloma, MI, the daughter of Roscoe and Hazel (Hopkins) Babcock. She graduated from Coloma High School in 1946 and then came to Kalamazoo to attend Bronson School of Nursing, from which she graduated in 1949. She worked in the OB Nursery at Bronson Methodist Hospital for 25 years, and then worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner at Rambling Road Pediatrics, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Parchment United Methodist Church and belonged to the Friends of the Parchment Library and the Kalamazoo Garden Council. She enjoyed traveling, volunteer work, and playing bridge. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, and her husband, Robert Cardiff. She is survived by her children, Sue, Bob, Craig (Lisa), and Kevin (Deb); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her longtime bridge partner and good friend, Kathy Breese. Friends will be received Friday, March 29, 2013 from 4-7PM at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home, 2300 East G Ave., 269-349-7735, where funeral services will be held Saturday, March 30 at 11AM, Pastor Mike Tupper officiating. Interment will follow in East Cooper Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends of the Parchment Library or the Parchment United Methodist Church.
