Josephine E. Munn

Mrs. Josephine Munn Died on St. Patrick's Day. Josephine was born in Kalamazoo on July 15, 1931, the daughter of F. Eugene and Effie M. (Baumann) McAllister. She was a receptionist/secretary at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was an elder- and child-caregiver for years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Josephine was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Marcinkowski, in 2009, two brothers, Edward and Frederick, and two sisters, Jean Margaret and Catherine. She is survived by her children Mike (Michelle) Munn of California, and Thomas Munn of Vicksburg; ten grandchildren; a sister, Anna Isabel McAllister of Kalamazoo, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday, March 20 from 2-4 and 6-8PM with a Rosary at 7:15PM at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge, Kalamazoo. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 21 at 1PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake St., Kalamazoo, Msgr. Michael Hazard celebrant. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hospice Care of SW MI, or the West Michigan Cancer Center, 200 N. Park St., Kalamazoo.
