Michael P. Corryn

Michael P. Corryn 68, of Portage, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 at home. Michael was born September 9, 1945 in Kalamazoo the son of the late Frederick and Winnifred (Campbell) Corryn. Michael was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, the Moose Lodge and the American Legion Post 49 in South Haven. He enjoyed bird watching, watching NASCAR and drag racing. On February 8, 1980 in Kalamazoo he was united in marriage to Bonnie (Hiemstra) Corryn who survives. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Joseph (Joan) Corryn and James (Angie) Corryn; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Corryn. Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49008. (269) 343-6156. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM on March 11, 2013 at St. Monica Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. Larry Farrell, Celebrant. Interment will be in Ft.
