Mr. Frank Leonard Yankoviak passed away Thursday, February 21 in Kalamazoo. Frank was born March 4, 1924 in Cheboygan, MI, the son of Michael and Victoria (Andreski) Yankoviak. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. Frank was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps and served during WW II. He was manager of technical services at James River Corp. for many years. He was a member of the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry for 50 years, and was in the Ushers' Club at St. Monica. In 1946, he married Maxine Clairmont, who preceded him in death March 20, 2003, and also preceded by a daughter, Mary Ann Rogers. Frank is survived by his daughter Maria Rose of Kalamazoo; siblings Tom (Patricia) Yankoviak of LaPorte, IN and Bernard Yankoviak of Cheboygan, MI; two grandchildren, Tara (Jamie) Joines of Raleigh, NC and Nathan Fash of Kalamazoo, and three great-grandchildren. Memorial Mass will be Thursday, February 28 at 11AM at St. Monica Catholic Church, 534 W. Kilgore, Kalamazoo, Fr. Larry Farrell, celebrant. Private burial to take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 4341 S. Westnedge, Suite 2100, Kalamazoo, MI 49008.
