Carol Rowland

Mrs. Carol Rowland, of Kalamazoo, passed away January 19, 2013 in Kalamazoo. Carol was born June 26, 1942 in Northville, MI, the daughter of Leonard and Helen (Kozlowski) Fritz. She was an attorney and retired from practicing in federal courts. She volunteered in the Thrift Shop at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and was a special needs teacher prior to law school. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Doyle A. Rowland on February 29, 2000. She is survived by her children Doyle A. (Kelly) Rowland of Portage and Matthew M. Rowland of Chicago, IL; grandchildren Spencer and Clark Rowland, brother Leonard (Karen) Fritz of Lincoln Park, MI, and sister Jean Fritz of Shirley, IN. Friends will be received Wednesday, January 30 from 1:30-2:30PM at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 247 W. Lovell St., Kalamazoo, where Funeral Services will follow at 2:30PM, Rev. Dr. Randall Warren, officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
