Josephine K. Hastings

Josephine K. Hastings, of Kalamazoo, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. “Jo” was born October 9, 1920 in Galesburg, MI, the daughter of Jefferson and Ona (Thornberg) Johnson. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and completing crossword puzzles. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Harry Hastings; siblings Grover Crisman, Alfred Johnson, Katherine Sullivan, Alma Soper, and Roberta Vallier. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Friends will be received Wednesday, January 23 from 11AM to 12Noon at Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave., 269-343-6156, where Funeral Services will follow at Noon, Pastor Ken Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kalamazoo.
