Ida M. Jefson

Ida M. Jefson of Kalamazoo, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013. Ida was born March 4, 1915 in New York, NY the daughter of the late Andrew and Amalia (Kapper) Kiening. On May 4, 1941 she was united in marriage to Albert W. Jefson, Jr. who preceded her in death in 2002, also preceding her were her brothers: Andrew Keining and Vincent Kapper. Surviving are her children Richard T. (Jeanette) Jefson of Kalamazoo and Robert W. (Cathi) Jefson of Leland, NC; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 at St. Monica Catholic Church, 534 W. Kilgore Rd, Kalamazoo at 11 am. Ida will then be taken to Long Island, NY for burial with her husband Albert. Contributions in her memory to St. Monica Church or the charity of your choice.
